An Easter Conference

I must say that my heart is full.  This easter weekend, I had the oppourtunity to listen to the servants of God.  Our Beloved Prophet, President Monson, gave a beautiful talk this morning.  All the talks were wonderful, but his was so SO fitting of Easter.  He didn't cry Repentance-but he told us of the Fathers love.  Several talks today were eleoquent statements of testimony on the Love of God the Father and his Son Jesus Christ, but while President Monson was speaking on the topic of eternal life and the trials we face, it just hit me.  My Heavenly Father Loves me SO much!  He loves all his children SO much.  How beautiful is it that on this conference morning, a beautiful easter sunday, he would have his chosen servant speak to us on eternal life.  After the world has been devastated by the natural disasters that so frequently have shaken and torn apart the earth in the last 3 months, Heavenly Father would direct our Prophet to assure us that this is mortality.  That we will die physically, but that our Spirits will live on, and that we will be ressurected.  Just as Christ died, and then broke the bands of death, so will we if we have faith in our Savior Jesus Christ and seek to emmulate his example.

I know my Heavenly Father lives, that Jesus is his son.  I know that they love me so much, they provided a way to overcome mortality, they made it possible for me to be with the ones I love for Eternity.  This world is not the end, nor is that thing we call death.  There is no end to progress, there is no end to life.  This knowledge of my Savior and Heavenly Father brings me peace and Joy.
